Police say man arrested for threatening to blow up TCU campus during standoff

Fort Worth police arrested a man who reportedly threatened TCU staff before causing a standoff and threatening to blow up the campus.

This incident began just after 9:00 a.m. when a Fort Worth Police SWAT team was called in regarding someone who was reportedly threatening TCU employees.

He was found in his car in the parking lot and police said he refused to leave his car.

At one point, police said he opened the door and threatened to blow up the campus.

He later surrendered without incident.

The police found no explosives, but said he had a loaded pistol under the driver’s seat.

The man’s name has not yet been released. He is accused of creating a terrorist threat.
