Police say Dallas man shot and killed his 13-year-old son for inappropriate behavior
DALLAS – Police believe a 53-year-old Dallas man shot and killed his 13-year-old son because he misbehaved.
Randy Edwards is charged with aggravated assault.

The shooting took place Wednesday evening on Ellery Drive near I-635 and the US 75 interchange.
Police records show that Edwards told investigators that the boy threw rocks at the front door of the house while Edwards was preparing dinner.
Police say Edwards issued a warning and then shot through the front door window, hitting his son in the stomach.
According to a witness, the teenager ran across the street in search of help.
Investigators say Edwards escaped without helping his son.

The victim is in the Children’s Medical Center.
Edwards is in the Dallas County Jail where he is being held on $75,000 bail.
