Police say Dallas man charged with murder after he said woman committed suicide

DALLAS. Dallas police say they have issued an arrest warrant for a 63-year-old man who died last Wednesday.

When they arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound, who was later pronounced dead. Police identified her as 38-year-old Erica Davis.

During the investigation, Donnie Moreland was named as a witness. Police say he told officers that Davis had shot herself.

On Monday, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy and ruled that someone else had killed Davis. Police say Moreland was identified as the shooter after further investigation.
