Police say alligator bit man’s leg in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida. – A man in Daytona Beach was sent to the hospital on Saturday after an alligator bit him on the leg, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.

Officers responded to an address on Champions Drive where they reported that the alligator had bitten the man’s upper thigh.

According to police, the man was hospitalized with injuries incompatible with life.

Police said the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has since taken the lead in the case.
