Police say a woman shot and killed her terminally ill husband at a Daytona Beach hospital.

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida. A woman shot and killed her terminally ill husband at a Florida hospital Saturday, police said.

The shooting took place at AdventHealth Daytona Beach on Memorial Medical Parkway.

Daytona Beach Police said officers arrived to find the woman had “shot her terminally ill husband and locked herself in his room.”

Police said the woman was not considered a threat to staff or patients.

Nobody else got hurt.

The police negotiated with the woman to force her to surrender.
