Police say 23 people have been arrested at a “upscale” Frisco hotel for soliciting prostitution.

FRISCO, TX (CBSDFW.COM) – Twenty-three people have been arrested in a multi-agency operation aimed at “cracking down on the demand for prostitution,” the Frisco Police Department said Thursday.

On January 12 and 13, Frisco police joined other local agencies in a demand suppression operation.

Officials said the operation was conducted by the Department of Homeland Security as part of their Blue Campaign, a national campaign designed to “educate the public, law enforcement, and other industry partners about the signs of human trafficking.”

As part of the operation, law enforcement responded to online calls for prostitution and then arranged meetings at a prestigious hotel in Frisco. The police stated that this was done in cooperation with the hotel management and staff.

When the suspects arrived at the hotel, they were apprehended, questioned by police, and then taken to the Collin County Jail.

Police said they found no evidence “supporting the rumors of trafficking in minors”.
