Police Report 7-Year-Old’s Fatal Drowning at Home Birthday Bash

In a tragic turn of events, a 7-year-old girl has drowned in a pool while attending a children’s birthday party in Port St. Lucie, as confirmed by the local police department on Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened on the 200 block of Southeast Bella Stran at around 12:25 p.m. when a family member noticed the girl’s absence and found her underwater. Immediately, CPR was initiated, and the girl was transported to a nearby hospital by the St. Lucie County Fire District. Sadly, the child succumbed, and the authorities pronounced her dead.

An active investigation by the Port St. Lucie detectives is underway, but the police have ruled out any foul play at this time. The identity of the girl has been withheld by the authorities, and her family has been provided with resources and support by a PSLPD victim’s advocate.
