Conservation Group Hosts Annual Tasting Fundraiser in San Diego

Wildcoast Hosts 11th Annual Baja Bash Fundraiser for Ocean Conservation Programs

San Diego, California – International conservation group, Wildcoast, is set to host the 11th annual Baja Bash tasting event, aimed at raising awareness and funds for its ocean conservation and climate action programs. The event will take place on Saturday, June 17th at a private estate in Solana Beach, overlooking the San Elijo Lagoon and stunning Cardiff coast.

Wildcoast is a non-profit organization that focuses on the conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems and addressing climate change through natural solutions. The organization has offices in both California and Mexico and carries out its mission through three strategies. Firstly, it establishes and manages protected areas, then protects and restores blue carbon ecosystems such as seagrass meadows, salt marsh wetlands, mangroves, and coral reefs. Lastly, it engages local communities as conservation stewards. Over the years, the organization has helped conserve 38 million acres of coastal and marine ecosystems.

The annual Baja Bash fundraiser is a celebration of the shared coastal conservation successes of Southern California and Baja. The event brings together the best chefs and beverages from both sides of the border, where guests can enjoy a Baja-inspired tasting menu designed by world-renowned area chefs complimented by regional wines, beer, and live music.

This year’s event will feature bites from renowned chefs such as JoJo Ruiz (Lionfish, Temaki, and Serea), Greg Frey Jr. (Golden Door Spa + Golden Door Country Store), Aly Land (George’s at the Cove), Kelli Crosson (The Lodge at Torrey Pines), Brad Wise (Trust, Fort Oak, Cardellino, The Wise Ox, and Rare Society), and Marissa Williams and Carlo Guardado (Herb & Sea). All proceeds from the event will benefit Wildcoast’s continued efforts to conserve the most threatened coastal and ocean habitats and wildlife in Southern California and Mexico.

Tickets to the Baja Bash are available online for $200 per person. The event will take place on Saturday, June 17th, from 6-9 pm at Montbleu Estates in San Diego’s North County city of Solana Beach. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit wildcoast.org.
