Police arrest a man who threatened a mosque in North Texas

DESOTO, Texas. Police have arrested a 48-year-old man on charges of making a terrorist threat against the Desoto Peace House and Community Center.

DeMarcus Lamont Brodie was taken into custody after police said images of him were captured by a security camera showing him threatening a mosque on Tuesday, Feb. 14, and images of his car were also recorded that evening.

“I would like to thank our officers and detectives for working quickly and diligently to track down this man and get [Brodie] from the street,” DeSoto Police Chief Joseph Costa said. “He no longer poses a threat to our community. I would also like to thank our residents who cared for their neighbors and worked with us to keep our community safe.”
