PETA offers to pay for Oscar Mayer’s stolen Wienermobile catalytic converter if it becomes a vegan mobile device

Days after reports surfaced of a catalytic converter being stolen from an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in Las Vegas, PETA offered to pay for parts and maintenance for one year if the company converted the car to a vegan hot dog.

President Ingrid Newkirk made the offer to Carlos Abrams-Rivera, executive vice president and president of Kraft Heinz – North America Zone, in a letter sent Thursday. Newkirk suggested Wienermobile become NotDogmobile or “something like it” as the company is reportedly working on making vegan hot dogs.

She noted that her recommendation comes at a time when demand for vegan hot dogs is on the rise, adding that the global market for plant-based hot dogs grew 20% last year and is projected to reach a market value of 2032 by 2032. $1.99 billion.

In her letter, Newkirk mentioned the potential health risks associated with eating hot dogs, citing a World Health Organization report that said eating processed meat can cause cancer. The WHO has also stated that eating processed meat has the same risk of cancer as smoking tobacco.

“Instead of throwing in cancer-causing processed cow liver and pork snout meat, Oscar Mayer NotDogMobile has been cooking up the delicious vegan dogs that today’s patrons want,” Newkirk said. “PETA would enjoy an opportunity to help Oscar Mayer ketchup with the booming vegan food market.”

According to Newkirk, 79% of Gen Zers don’t eat meat at least one day a week, and 65% overall want to eat a more plant-based diet.

Newkirk stated that another “great reason” to consider using at least one cell phone for vegan dogs is that more animal lives will be saved by promoting “delicious vegan dogs”, leading to the company gaining space. in “all compassionate hearts”.

“Pigs, cows, and other animals commonly used to make hot dogs are smart, sensitive people who feel pain and form strong bonds with others,” Newkirk wrote, defending her recommendation.

She concluded her letter by stating that the end goal is for everyone to understand that they now have a variety of nutritional options if they wish to follow a vegan diet – whether for ethical, environmental, health, religious or other reasons.

Abrams-Rivera, Kraft Heinz and Oscar Mayer have not yet responded to the offer.
