Pedestrian hit in Orange County, military says

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Monday afternoon in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Soldiers said the fatal accident occurred around 5:02 p.m. near the intersection of Curry Ford Road and Palm Creek Avenue.
According to the crash report, a Toyota Camry driven by a 40-year-old man from Orlando was driving west on Curry Ford Road, approaching Palm Creek Avenue on the inside lane.
The pedestrian, identified only as a man, was walking “southbound” rather than at the crosswalk, and he entered the western lanes of Curry Ford Road and Camry’s path, according to FHP.
The front of the Camry struck a pedestrian and he died at the scene, the military said.

The driver of the Camry was not injured, according to the report.
The crash is still under investigation.
