Pedestrian dies after being hit by several cars

FORT WORTH, TX (CBSDFW.COM) A man died after being hit by several cars.

Fort Worth police say it happened around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Wichita and Martin Streets.

The victim was walking down the northern lanes of Wichita Street when he was hit by several vehicles traveling in the same direction. The police did not specify how many cars there were.

The two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The victim was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.
