Novato police ask for public help to find man last seen jogging

Novato Police Department is appealing to the public for help in finding a missing man who was last seen on Monday heading out for a run.

Mark Donald Bretan, 32, left home without a phone to go for a run around 9:30 a.m. along Clare Court Street towards Highland Drive.

The police said that Breton is at risk because he suffers from a mental illness.

He was wearing black sweatpants, sneakers and a colorful headband. The color of his shirt is unknown. Bretan is five foot six, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The police are especially looking for help from anyone who regularly walks or jog on the trails in Novato. Police are also asking residents of the Highland Drive/Clare Court area to check their security cameras for any footage of Brittany around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
