North Texas SC Adds John Gall and Kyle Zobek to Coaching Staff

FRISCO, TX (February 14, 2023) – North Texas SC announced today the additions of John Gall and Kyle Zobek to join the team’s coaching staff ahead of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season. Gall will serve as assistant to head coach Javier Cano, while Zobek will serve as goalkeeping coach.

Gall joins North Texas SC as an assistant coach after taking over as FC Dallas Academy U-13 head coach in 2017. During his first year in charge, Gall won the Dallas Cup. In 2020, Gall was named head coach of the U-19 Academy team. Last year, during the MLS NEXT Cup 2022, he led the U-19s to the semi-finals. Before joining the FC Dallas organization, Gall was the head coach of the Marcus High School football team from 2001 to 2015. The Welsh native led the Marauders to state championships in 2007-08. Gall will also serve as coaching director of the Dallas youth club and will also assist Javier.

“Going all the way through the Academy and breaking into the second team is a privilege,” Gall said. “Joining a group of experienced guys on the coaching staff like Javier (Kano), Michel and Kyle (Zobek) is important for team growth and personal growth as a coach.”

Kyle Zobek joined North Texas SC after spending three years as a goaltender for FC Dallas from 2018-21. In the 2020 MLS season, Zobek played 318 minutes and registered three starts in four matches. The Coralville, Iowa native made his Dallas debut on September 2, 2020 against substitute Sporting. Zobek made five appearances and played 450 minutes for North Texas SC during 2019. He started for North Texas in the 2019 USL League One Finals where he kept a clean sheet and set a league record seven saves in the Finals.
