Nike and Tiffany & Co. team up to release $400 sneakers: “The Legendary Pair”

Official: Nike and Tiffany & Co. team up to create a sneaker and accessories collection in sterling silver.

On Tuesday, the companies announced a collaboration with Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837 and Tiffany & Co.’s inspiring limited edition sterling silver accessory collection.

Nike and Tiffany also ran a full-page ad in the Sunday print edition of The New York Times with the words “The Legendary Couple.”

The shoes, due to be released on March 7, celebrate the ongoing celebration of Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary and are the brand’s first partnership.

According to a Nike press release, the shoe is made from high quality black suede and features a blue Tiffany swoosh and silver detailing above each heel. The company says the shoes will retail for $400.

The sneakers will be available at two Tiffany & Co. stores. in New York and worldwide through the Nike SNKRS app, and select Nike retail partners in North America.

To further celebrate the launch, Tiffany & Co. will also launch a limited edition sterling silver collection. Collaborative projects include a sterling silver whistle, a shoe horn and a shoe brush.

“Each design is not only a celebration of Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837, but also a demonstration of the Maison’s unparalleled craftsmanship and craftsmanship.

In 2019, French luxury group LVMH agreed to buy Tiffany & Co. for $16.2 billion, adding the famous star to a portfolio that already includes Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Bulgari.

Tiffany has worked on a number of collaborations in recent years, including a campaign with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, as the brand works to appeal to younger shoppers with more contemporary pieces.
