New York mom goes wild after son stabs teen sister: ‘He said he was mad’

The distraught mother of the 13-year-old who allegedly stabbed and seriously injured her older sister at their Queens home on Sunday said she couldn’t understand what had happened to her usually friendly son.

Rupia Begum, 42, has found her teenage son charged with assault in a bloody attack and her 14-year-old daughter is in critical condition.

“I don’t know what happened,” Begum told The Post from her home in Jamaica on Sunday.

“Usually everything is fine. They play together. Usually no problem.”

The mother-of-five said her son, whose name was not released by The Post, was “terrified” and spoke to detectives at Precinct 113 while her daughter remained in a Jamaica hospital with multiple stab wounds.

“He said something was wrong,” Begum said of her son. “He said he was angry.

“He stabbed her in several places, several times,” Mom said. – I do not know what happened.

Begum said she was at work at a McDonald’s about five minutes from the family’s home on 11th Avenue and 156th Street when she received a call telling her that her son allegedly stabbed her daughter to death around 7:00 p.m. Saturday.

“I was not at home. I was called back. Emergency at work,” she explained.

She said that her husband, who neighbors say drives a taxi and owns a taxi service, has gone to Bangladesh.

Police said the teen had an argument with his sister and stabbed her with a steak knife, then called 911 to report that “someone broke into the house with a knife.”

But police said the injured teenager was able to identify his brother as the assailant.

The boy later told police that his sister, who had been stabbed in her back, legs, thighs, arms and face, “harassed him” before the attack, police said.

A neighbor told The Post that the boy has autism and is often heard having screaming fits.

“He screams a lot, and, you know, he screams a lot,” said a neighbor who declined to give his name. “They came here three years ago. The nicest neighbors we’ve ever had. Never any trouble.
