New Jersey woman arrested after she entered high school

The woman, whose name was revealed by the authorities as Hyejong Shin, was accused of entering a New Brunswick high school using a fake ID document.

Ms. Shin attended school for a total of four school days until the teachers found out her true age.

School system officials said the situation was being investigated by the local police department and also said the enrollment process would be investigated.

The issue was brought up Tuesday at a local board of education meeting, where New Brunswick Public Schools Superintendent Aubrey Johnson told those in attendance that Ms. Sheen had been detained at the school. The incident became public as a result of this announcement.

According to Mr. Johnson, last week an adult woman posing as a student was able to enroll in our high school, claiming that this was made possible by submitting certain false documents.

He went on to say that she attended several classes and met counselors who were trying to learn more about her at the time.

After that, according to Mr. Johnson, the fabricated age of Ms. Shin was discovered, and the school immediately alerted the authorities.

According to the New Brunswick Police Department, she was subsequently arrested for presenting a fake birth certificate “for the purpose of enrolling as a minor high school student.”

According to the students, the girl wrote to several of them, inviting them to chat with her.

One of them told CBS New York that the other girls “never came up and she [Ms. Shin] started behaving strangely with them.

According to police, New Jersey law allows students to register at a school even if they do not have a guardian or all the necessary paperwork to do so.

This is not the first time an adult has been found to be deceiving others by pretending to be a high school student.

In 1993, when he was 30, a man named Brian McKinnon pretended to be a fifth grader at a high school near Glasgow. He introduced himself as an impostor. He introduced himself as a resident of Canada and stated that he was 17 years old.

McKinnon continued to attend the institution throughout the calendar year. A year later, while still attending the University of Dundee Medical School, he was exposed after a newspaper article revealed his real identity.

His life was the subject of a documentary released in 2022 that generated worldwide interest.
