Moonfare Partners with Dariu Foundation to Support Digital Education Project

Moonfare, the world’s leading digital private equity platform, announced it is supporting the Swiss Dariu Foundation in a series of events to connect the NGO to Moonfare’s global community and raise awareness of its mission to advance digital education for children. To kick off the partnership, Moonfare and Dariou are hosting an exclusive dinner in Munich on January 26th.

Moonfare founder and CEO Steffen Pauls said: “The Dariou Foundation is doing an excellent job of spreading access to coding skills among young, disadvantaged people in disadvantaged communities around the world. Supporting its mission seems like a natural fit for a world-leading technology company like Moonfare, especially given our determination to do our part to make the world a better place.” He added: “A young person trained by Dariou today could become an employee of Moonfare or another technology company tomorrow.”

Founded in 2002 by Swiss media entrepreneur Thomas Trube, the Dariou Foundation provides families and children in underprivileged rural areas in Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia and Bhutan with the coding and other skills needed to navigate and succeed in an increasingly digital world. Particular attention is paid to the equality of access to education between genders, income levels and geographic areas.

Through its Mission Impossible project, the Foundation has committed to digitally train 7 million children (half of them girls) in eight countries by the end of 2027. .

Such ambitious goals require the support of a committed community of like-minded people, which Moonfare can help with.

Dariu founder and CEO Thomas Trub said: “I look forward to a great partnership with Moonfare. Thanks to their forward-thinking global community, we will be able to bring tens of thousands more disadvantaged children into our programs.”

Moonfare brings together a unique, committed community of GPs, employees, investors, partners, and contributors with over 50,000 members worldwide.

The collaboration with Dariou reaffirms and strengthens Moonfare’s commitment to promoting the values of responsible global citizenship.
