Monterey County SPCA Adopts 95 Evacuated Pets

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) — Pets are at least as much danger as humans as storms hit the Central COAST.

SPCA County Monterey can attest to this as they currently care for 95 evacuated pets. This includes dogs, cats, chickens and parrots.

The shelter is still in the business of saving pets and wants to remind people not to abandon their furry friends when evacuating.

The Monterey County SPCA is asking those who need shelter for their pets to call them at 831-373-2631 during the day or 831-646-5534 at night.

They have free food and supplies that will be provided to anyone who asks.
