Missing Mom’s Husband Considered ‘Person of Interest’ Faces Extradition to Indiana on Unrelated Charges
An Indiana man who remains a “person of interest” in the disappearance of his wife Siera Breland nearly a year ago is reportedly facing extradition back to the state after being detained in Georgia on unrelated charges.
Xavier Breland, 37, is in the Coweta County Jail in Georgia on charges of stalking his ex-wife since last year.
He is being extradited to Hamilton County, Indiana for illegal possession of a firearm by a serious felon who was linked to a February 2022 “accidental shooting” incident at his home in Carmel, Indiana. The charges are also unrelated to her disappearance.
The incident comes two days after he reported his wife missing on February 26, 2022, FOX 5 in Atlanta and FOX 59 in Indianapolis reported.

Investigators also confiscated two pistols during a search of his home the day after he reported his wife missing, and another pistol the next day when investigators returned for an “accidental shot”.
Weapon charges were filed in Hamilton County, Indiana last November.
“I want to be clear that this has nothing to do with the missing persons case,” Lt. Tim Byrne of the Indiana State Police Department in Carmel said, FOX 59 reported.

Xavier Breland told investigators last year that he last saw his 31-year-old wife as she walked to the store from their home in Carmel, Indiana, but was last seen in Jones Creek, Georgia on February 24. according to the police. there, when she was seen on surveillance video leaving her mother-in-law’s house.
He allegedly told police that his wife traveled in sub-zero temperatures in shorts to go to a nearby store, but left her wallet and mobile phones at home.
The couple also have a child who was five months old at the time of her disappearance.
Zaxier Breland was not charged with her disappearance.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office did not provide a timeline for his extradition and did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment.
