Missing Florida 2-year-old boy who left home found safe and sound

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — A 2-year-old Florida boy who went missing after leaving home Thursday has been found safe and sound.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that Joshua “JJ” Rowland was found by a Marine Corps veteran who volunteered to search.

The sheriff’s office said Rowland, who left his home on Thursday, was taken to the hospital and is doing well, given that he was outside all night.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing-child warning for Rowland on Thursday, but that warning has now been lifted.
