Abilene police investigate early morning drive-by shooting

SAN ANGELO, Texas. Police are investigating an early morning incident in northern Abilene after multiple shots were fired at a house. According to the press service of the APD, one person received injuries incompatible with life.

At around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, police received several reports of multiple shots in the 700 Forrest Avenue area in northern Abilene.

Arriving officers found several shell casings on the street.

A 20-year-old man in a home in the area sustained a life-threatening injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Several people were inside the house at the time of the shooting, but no other injuries were reported. The house was repeatedly shelled.

This investigation is ongoing. APD is asking anyone with information about this incident to call Abilene Crime Stoppers at 325-676-8477 (TIPS).
