Megyn Kelly says Tom Brady gave Gisele Bündchen a ‘middle finger’ with an extra year in the NFL

Megyn Kelly criticized superstar quarterback Tom Brady on Wednesday, saying the NFL legend sacrificed his marriage to supermodel Gisele Bündchen to play football for another year, essentially giving her the “middle finger.”

Kelly reacted Wednesday to Brady’s announcement of her retirement. In a short video that was posted on social media, the Super Bowl winner said, “I wouldn’t change a thing.”

The comment angered Kelly, who said, “You [Tom Brady] would you change the part at the end where you lost your wife of 13 years because you didn’t retire? What you decided to do 365 days later.”

“Honestly, Tom Brady seems like a pretty nice guy,” Kelly added.

“I don’t know if he is an evil person. He is an amazing football player, but the breakup of your marriage due to one extra year in football seems to be regretted.

Kelly wondered why Brady didn’t retire last year, which could have saved his marriage.

Brady first announced his retirement last year, but changed his mind last season and changed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to Page Six, the decision led to heated arguments between the two.

Although Kelly doubted that Brady’s decision to return to football was doomed to marriage, she nonetheless left open the possibility that this was a key reason.

“If that was really the reason, he lasted another year,” Kelly said.

“For one year he lost his wife. Where is the self-sacrifice? Where is the mature decision to say: “I will sacrifice my year for you, my wife; sacrifice for my marriage and for my children so that their family stays together”?

Kelly suggested what Bündchen might have been thinking on Wednesday after learning her ex-husband had hung up his boots for good.

“What is it like to be Giselle [Bündchen] Today?” Kelly asked. “Gisele Bündchen wakes up for her next big photo shoot and sees [Tom Brady’s announcement]”.

Kelly then thought about what a conversation between them would sound like.

“Okay, so you [Tom Brady] could have saved the marriage a year ago when I begged you to do it and you refused,” she said.

“And you decided for 300+ days that it’s not worth losing me, causing all this heartache to our children, blowing up our beautiful life.”

“‘For what? For one season?”

Kelly added: “I mean just an insult. And even if that’s what actually happened, what a middle finger.”

“This is a bad marriage,” Kelly said.

“This is someone who isn’t really connected, in love, or involved in the way you expect and want your spouse to be.”

After the divorce, Bündchen was seen at several photo shoots in skimpy swimsuits.

Following Brady’s announcement on Wednesday, Bündchen wished her ex all the best, writing, “I wish you nothing but miracles in this new chapter of your life.”

Brady’s resignation sparked speculation that the couple might reconcile, but a source close to Bündchen told People that the Brazilian supermodel has “passed away quite a while” and that she is “genuinely happy” for her ex.

Brady, for his part, is not interested in dating anyone, sources told Page Six. He turned down offers from friends to set him up, instead insisting on focusing on his young children.
