MCTXSheriff identifies recovered human remains of Felicia Johnson

CONROE, TX – February 7, 2023 at around 12:00 pm, MCTX Sheriff’s representatives responded to the Sam Houston National Forest near Flamingo Lakes and Highway 149 due to the discovery of possible human bones. A TxDOT employee discovered this and called law enforcement.

Montgomery County homicide and violent crime detectives and crime scene investigators arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. The remains were determined to be in fact human, and samples were sent for DNA analysis and dental records. It is with a heavy heart that we report that dental records have confirmed that the human remains belong to the missing Felicia Johnson of California. Our hearts go out to Johnson’s family and friends, and we hope this brings them some kind of closure.

Ms. Johnson was the victim of a homicide in Houston, Texas in 2022 and all inquiries regarding this case and this case should be directed to the Houston Police Department.
