GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) – In addition to the kidnapping, Ocastor Ferguson, 32, has now been charged with arson in connection with the missing McKinney woman case.

Police named Ferguson as a person of interest in the disappearance of 33-year-old Kayla Kelly. They claim that he and Kelly dated. According to the arrest report, Ferguson lied to Kelly about his marital status when they met online.

Additionally, the report states that Kelly found out that Ferguson was married after they started dating. According to the document, she told him that she was going to reveal the truth to his wife.

Last Wednesday, January 11, Kelly’s colleagues and friends reported her missing. The next day, her car was found burnt out in a remote part of Frisco.

A week later, Collin County investigators searched Ferguson’s car and found duct tape, gloves, and a blanket. Subsequently, he was charged with kidnapping.

The new arson charge was brought after investigators found the deceased woman in a field near the southeast corner of 360 and I-20 in Grande Prairie. She was found a week after Kelly was declared missing. The field is less than a mile from Ferguson’s home in Grande Prairie. According to investigators, he lives there with his wife.

Investigators also told CBS 11 that they traced Ferguson’s cell phone signals at the time Kelly went missing. Presumably, he pinged near the place where the dead woman was found.

If the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office identifies the deceased woman as Kelly, Ferguson could face another capital murder charge.
