Man hit by train in Salinas

SALINAS, CA (KION-TV). Salinas police said the man was hit by a train on Tuesday afternoon.

A man in his 30s was on the tracks for an unknown reason when he was hit, police said. The incident occurred at about 17:45 near the overpass to Market and John.

It is not known if the man was a temporary traveler, police said.

The Salinas police said it was a Union Pacific Railroad case as they own the tracks. Any additional information should come from them.
