Man arrested on charges of stealing donations from Flower Mound Mosque

A man who police say is responsible for stealing donations meant for earthquake victims from the Flower Mound Mosque has been arrested and charged.

Richardson police arrested Muhammad S. Khan, 36, on Saturday, Feb. 25, after the city’s license plate reading system alerted police.

Khan was driving the same car on 13 February when he allegedly entered the Masjid al-Noor Islamic school/mosque in Flower Mound through an unlocked door and broke open boxes of cash and checks said to be for earthquake relief in Turkey. and Syria.

He was charged with robbing a building.

Khan previously had an arrest for trespassing in Virginia.

He was released from prison on Tuesday.
