Cary Williams is Events Director at Trinity River Distillery. You spoke with Bob Francis, business editor of the Fort Worth Report.

Francis: What is your background?

Williams: I come from the world of radio. I was the senior director of marketing for Cumulus Media Dallas. In fact, I managed KSCS and The Wolf on a daily basis, and then supervised all seven sites.

Francis: Have you been here?

Williams: About a year.

Francis: Tell me about the events you have here.

Williams: We are expanding again and organizing events. We escalated things again last June. So we do everything from weddings to corporate events.

We hosted a celebratory party for 200 people here. We can do many different things with 200 to 220 people. To everyone I talk to, I say, “Look, if you have an idea, pitch it to me. We’ll find a way to make it happen.”

Because it’s an old ranch-style bean factory, our CEO and president always says, “We’ve gone from beans to booze.” I told him that we should make a shirt out of him.

Francis: Where can they find products?

Williams: We have a fairly wide distribution. Our website has a pretty good list if you enter your zip code. And we are expanding. We are adding another building and more production.

Francis: You said that your products are purely Texas, tell me about it.

Williams: We use rainwater that we collect on site in our 13,000 gallon storage tanks, and our recipes are made from all-natural Texas grains. We are made in Texas.

Francis: Are you rebranding?

Williams: Yes, we have new labels and we are expanding. We have many plans for the future.
