Low temperatures destroy homeless communities in the South Bay

Whereas snow in the bay area can get most of the attention. Low temperatures can be life threatening for the homeless population.

It has already been deadly season for the South Bay homeless community, as early showers have forced many to seek higher ground. But getting away from the cold is much more difficult.

South Bay homeless advocates such as the Unhoused Resource Group, CHAMS and Lighthouse ministries brought what they called “survival gear” to the camp on Tully Road in San Jose on Friday.
