The Monterey County Hurricane Relief Fund was created to help those affected by the 2023 winter storm.

MONTEREY COUNTY, California (KION-TV) – The Community Foundation of Monterey has created a hurricane relief fund with 100% of its donations going to people affected by the 2023 winter storms in Monterey County.

Donations to the fund will be used to provide emergency relief through local non-profits to meet urgent needs such as food, temporary shelter, financial assistance for evacuees, support for first responders and recovery efforts, the community fund announced.

“While we do not yet know the extent of the damage and loss from these hurricanes, we have confidence in the generosity of Monterey County residents and will ensure that their donations help those in need,” said Dan Baldwin, President of CFMC. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.

Those who wish to help donate can do so online here. You can also mail a check payable to “CFMC” to the Community Foundation for Monterey County, 2354 Garden Road, Monterey, CA, 93940 with “Storm Relief Fund” in the note line, or call 831.375.9712 during weekdays 8:30 to 5:00 pm.

Donations will be distributed throughout the county.
