ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – A large law enforcement presence flooded the Orlando area Friday afternoon following the chase.

A large contingent of Orange County sheriff’s deputies and the Orlando Police were stationed around West South Street and South Lee Avenue in Parramore.

The deputies said they saw the van drive away. The police chased the van, believing there was a kidnap victim inside.

The chase ended when the van crashed into the fence of a house near West South Street and South Lee Avenue, investigators said. According to deputies, after the accident, one person jumped out of the van and was arrested. No one else was found in the van. MPs said it was unclear if there was ever a kidnapping victim.

According to the sheriff’s office, the man who got out of the van on bail is wanted on an outstanding warrant for stealing a car in another jurisdiction. The deputies were unable to say what charges they might face after Friday’s chase.
