“Mr. Jeremic’s previous testimony regarding business dealings with officials involved in international bribery schemes raises suspicion that there may be evidence suggesting that the Biden family and his associates traded in influence and attempted to sell access, including to individuals associated with the Chinese Communist Party,” Comer continued.

“If President Biden is compromised by dealings with foreign adversaries, this is a clear threat to national security,” continued the chairman of the House Oversight Committee. “The oversight committee is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability for the waste, fraud and abuse that has taken place at the highest levels of government.”

Comer added that “Mr. Jeremic’s papers are critical to this investigation.”

In a letter obtained by FOX News Digital, Comer writes that his committee’s “review of evidence in federal prosecution – United States v. Patrick Ho – and other documents show” that Jeremic has “records and information related to the family’s overseas business operations. Bidenov. .”

Comer also noted that “the person charged with this prosecution” Ho was “convicted of international bribery and money laundering in 2018 and was the former head of CEFC China Energy (CEFC) in the United States.”

“CEFC — now the state-owned Communist Party of China — has approached the Biden family to expand their energy portfolio in the United States,” Comer wrote. “The Committee asks that you schedule transcripts of interviews with Committee staff and provide certain documents relating to CEFC, Robert Hunter Biden, James Biden and their business associates.”

“In 2018, the Department of Justice (DOJ) found Patrick Ho guilty of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, money laundering and criminal conspiracy. The district court sentenced Mr. Ho to three years in prison for participating in an international bribery scheme. During the trial, you testified about your dealings with certain CEFC officials, including Chairman Ye Jianming (Chairman Ye) and Patrick Ho, both of whom were affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party. detained Chairman Ye for violating Chinese bribery laws.”

“The committee is investigating whether President Biden knew or was involved in certain foreign business ventures involving the same CEFC officials who were involved in the schemes described in United States v. Patrick Ho. Evidence shows that you have established business relationships with Hunter Biden and his associates and have communicated with them about Chairman E and CEFC.”

Comer wrote that during Ho’s trial, Jeremic “testified that the CEFC paid you hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to act as a ‘consultant’ and in turn you ‘opened doors’ by exposing CEFC staff to business and political leaders in different countries. .”

“Indeed, in December 2015 you tried to introduce Chairman Yeh and the CEFC to Hunter Biden and his associates,” Comer wrote. “While it appears that the meeting did not take place that day, Hunter Biden later established a lucrative business relationship with Chairman Ye and the CEFC.”

“By 2017, Hunter Biden had formed a partnership with Chairman Ye and planned to share office space with him and then with former Vice President Biden in the Swedish House of Representatives in Washington, DC,” Comer continued.

The Chairman of the House Oversight Committee wrote that based on Jeremic’s “testimony in court, the Committee believes you have a connection with CEFC staff regarding Hunter Biden”, citing an email between Jeremic and Ho where a former UN official “hosted a dinner between Chairman Ye and another person in Washington, DC on December 6, 2015.”

Comer said that in addition to “the presence of the jury, the Justice Department prosecutor is asking the court to redact the name of the person” whom Jeremic “wanted to bring to dinner with [C]Hairman Ye’ because it ‘could bring a political dimension to this matter that we [DOJ] I don’t think it’s worth dealing with.”

The Kentucky Republican noted that the Justice Department’s redaction request was granted by the court and included part of Jeremic’s testimony to the Justice Department jury. Comer also said the committee is asking for the quoted email from the former UN official and “whether the name of the person redacted by the DOJ from instance 2739R is Hunter Biden.”

Comer demanded that Jeremic turn over all "documents and communications from 2014 to date with Robert Hunter Biden, James Biden, Eric Schwerin, Devon Archer, and James Gilliar" as well as with Ho, Ye, and "any CEFC partner." ."

“The Committee has received evidence to support your testimony that on December 1, 2015—one day after your email with Patrick Ho—you sent an email to Eric Schwerin asking him to attend a dinner in Washington, D.C. on December 6, 2015. ., with Chairman Ye,” Comer wrote.

“Based on court records and Committee evidence, it appears that: (1) you have ties to CEFC officials, including Patrick Ho and Chairman Ye, regarding the Biden family; (2) you have links to Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Eric Schwerin discussing CEFC; (3) The DOJ may have redacted Hunter Biden’s name from the Patrick Ho trial in copy 2739R; and (4) The DOJ is likely to have additional evidence related to the CEFC and Hunter Biden, given the seizure of Patrick Ho’s iPad and email. (c) in November 2017.”

Comer then demanded that Jeremic turn over all “documents and communications from 2014 to date with Robert Hunter Biden, James Biden, Eric Schwerin, Devon Archer, and James Gilliar,” as well as Ho, Ye, and “any CEFC employee.” “

Jeremic did not immediately respond to FOX News Digital’s request for comment.
