Immersive entertainment venue heading to The Colony

THE COLONY, Texas — Los Angeles’ immersive technology company Cosm has announced plans to build its second entertainment venue at Grandscape in The Colony, according to a news release.

Upon completion, the venue, which will span between 65,000 and 75,000 square feet, will provide guests with immersive technology across live sports, entertainment, arts, music and events.

“Dallas and North Texas are in Cosm’s DNA,” Jeb Terry, CEO and president of Cosm, said in a prepared statement. “We’ve always seen a North Texas location as a core anchor for our business. This is an incredible opportunity to grow alongside The Colony community.”

Designed by Dallas-based architects HKS, the venue will have a capacity of 1,500 guests.

“We’ve been very fortunate to design and shape the venues and physical environments for every major sports franchise in the DFW market,” said Mark Williams, global director of Venues for HKS. “Consumers will be embedded into these events without having to travel to them, which is a fantastic evolution on the fan experience.”

In September, Cosm announced plans to build its first public venue in Los Angeles at Hollywood Park. The Los Angeles location will be 65,000 square foot and adjacent to SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome.

Cosm was founded in 2020 by Dallas-based Mirasol Capital, a firm backed by RealPage founder Steve Winn.

The opening date for the venue in The Colony has yet to be disclosed.
