Illinois man sets fire to house after fight with girlfriend: police

An Illinois man is accused of setting fire to his home after getting into a fight with his girlfriend on Friday night.

Joliet Police Department says Kevin Williams, 45, became upset with his 47-year-old girlfriend during a fight, took gasoline from a garage and used it to set fire to an empty bedroom around 10:18 p.m., FOX reports. 32.

Four other people were inside the house at the time of the incident, police said.

Police say the 26-year-old woman and three children were safely evacuated from her home.

Officials say Williams was found in the garage, where he was placed under arrest.
