Tuesday will be a rather rainy day, as showers and thunderstorms are expected for most of the day. These storms can be strong and violent with gusty winds.

NEWSLINE: Today’s severe weather threat includes strong winds, heavy rain and tornadoes.

In the afternoon, a squall line forms along the incoming cold front, which can cause damaging winds and occasional tornadoes, especially south of I-10.

We should see the severe weather threat abate around 6 pm for those in the west as the cold front moves in towards the coast.

Behind the front, the temperature will remain at or below normal until the end of January! In fact, frosts are possible for some areas on Thursday and Friday mornings.
