House of Representatives Suggests Secret Documents May Have Been “Planted” to Hurt Biden

A House Democrat is raising the possibility that classified documents in the possession of President Joe Biden may have been planted.

Speaking to a reporter Thursday, Rep. Hank Johnson (R-GA) said: “My response to all of this is that supposedly secret documents have come to light that are believed to be in the possession of Joseph Biden, you know, I mean there are so much to explore.”

“And this is what I called for, for everything to be investigated. But I doubt the timing. I am also aware of the fact that things can be put in people… things can be put in places and then conveniently found,” he continued.

Finally Johnson said, “Maybe that’s what happened here. I don’t rule it out.”

“But I am open in terms of the investigation – it should be investigated,” he added.

Biden is facing a special counsel investigation after classified documents were found at Biden’s Pennsylvania Center office and residence in Wilmington, Delaware, according to IJR.

On Tuesday, the president told reporters he was “surprised” to learn that classified material had been found at the Biden Center in Pennsylvania.

Do you think the documents were planted?

“They did what they had to do. They immediately called [National Archives] … handed them over to the Archives,” Biden said of his lawyers’ actions when the documents were discovered.

However, he explained that he did not know what the documents were because “my lawyers did not suggest that I ask what the documents were.”

Some commentators are also questioning the timing of the revelation as it comes, with former President Donald Trump also facing investigation for his handling of classified documents.

Joy Behar, co-host of ABC’s The View, said Thursday, “I’ve never seen a luckier man than Donald Trump.”

“Just as we were so close to getting it, somehow these documents show up!” she added.

In a statement Thursday, Special Adviser to the President Richard Sauber said: “We are confident that a thorough review will show that these documents were inadvertently lost, and the President and his lawyers responded promptly to the discovery of this error.”
