“Honestly so amazed”: Watch how a 7th grader won $10,000 by hitting 4 shots in under 25 seconds.

This amazing shot – or four of them – went viral on social media and across the country.

Last week, seventh grade student J.J. Franks won a $10,000 prize after a series of spectacular throws during a shootout competition at Bishop Ryan Catholic School in Minot, North Dakota.

Footage captured by Melissa Olson on January 27 shows a student landing a no-ball, a free throw, a three-point shot, and a half-court shot in succession. The crowd then erupts in applause after the last shot.

In a post-break competition sponsored by Northern Bottling of Minot, one ticket will be awarded from entries received. During the break, the selected player is required to complete four throws within 25 seconds. If successful, the person receives a cash prize of $10,000.

Jarid Lundin, who organized the promotion, told FOX that he coached JJ in basketball last year.

“Good kid, really the perfect kid for this because he’s quiet and not a spotlight hunter,” Lundin told FOX. “Honestly, I was so blown away that he fired the first two shots that I got nervous that I might have missed something in the 7-page legal document that I had to sign for the promotion.”

Lundin confirmed that the insurance company wrote the check on Wednesday.
