Residents should also do the following:

  • Bring your loved ones, pets, and essentials indoors.

  • Close all doors and windows, turn off air conditioners.

  • Close the fireplace dampers

Stay-at-home orders, when issued, are more lenient. The same principle applies, but residents are allowed to go outside for important activities such as work or grocery shopping. This is not the same as shelter-in-place, as residents are still allowed to exercise outside, do yard work, or do outdoor activities with their children.
