Hateful trio beat up man and woman on New York street after shouting anti-Asian slurs

Police said Sunday that three hoodlums jumped out of an SUV and beat a man and woman walking down a Queens street after shouting anti-Asian slurs at the couple.

The victims were walking down Junction Boulevard near 38th Avenue in Flushing around 2:30 p.m. Thursday when a woman in a white Acura SUV called out to them, “ugly Asian,” according to police.

She also poured water on a 44-year-old Asian woman who was with a 24-year-old man at the time.

The hated woman and the two men who were with her got out of the car and struck the victims with punches and kicks on the head.

The attackers fled west along Roosevelt Avenue in an SUV.

The victims were taken to district hospitals, where they were treated with head injuries.
