Has anyone won a $613 million Powerball?

The jackpot has grown steadily since November 19, shortly after the lottery paid out a record $2.04 billion.

WASHINGTON. Nobody hit the Powerball jackpot on Monday, extending a losing streak that has lasted several months. Wednesday’s draw jackpot increased to $653 million.

One ticket in California matched five numbers to win $1 million.

The bank has grown steadily since November 19, shortly after the lottery paid out a record $2.04 billion. The $613 million jackpot won on Monday night is still not among the top 10 lottery prizes in the country.

The winner must choose between an annuity paid in installments over 29 years or cash. The cash option on Monday is $329 million.

Earlier this month, another popular lottery had a massive billion dollar payout. A Mega Millions ticket sold in Maine generated $1.35 billion, making it the fourth largest lottery prize.

Powerball winning numbers as of 01/30/23

The winning numbers for Monday, January 30th were 1-4-12-36-49, Powerball 5.

What are the chances of winning the Powerball?

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.

Huge lottery jackpots have become more common over the past few years as lottery officials have changed rules and ticket prices to increase top prizes.

Powerball’s biggest change came in 2021 when officials decided to add the Monday draw to the weekly Wednesday and Saturday draw lineup. At the time of the announcement, Powerball announced that the addition of the Monday draw would result in “larger and faster growing jackpots”.

Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
