Gov. Abbot issues disaster announcement after winter weather; Denton County included

DENTON, Texas – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has declared a natural disaster for counties affected by the recent ice storm.
The declaration includes Denton, Hayes, Henderson, Milam, Smith, Travis, and Williamson counties. Other counties may be added to the declaration as more damage is assessed.

North Texas has experienced power outages and weather-related flight cancellations, as well as dozens of plane crashes in the past few days.
