Global health food chain Freshii to close last remaining San Diego store

Freshii, a health-focused fast food chain with over 400 locations worldwide, has announced that it will soon be closing its last remaining San Diego branch in Pacific Beach.

Freshii is the brainchild of entrepreneur Matthew Corrin, who opened his first store in Toronto in 2005 at the age of 23. Now the company has more than 400 branches around the world, including Canada, USA, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, Sweden. , Austria, Switzerland, Ireland and the United Arab Emirates. Freshii is a “healthy fast food” franchise with a market component, offering a menu including a variety of burritos, rolls, soups, bowls, salads and frozen yogurt for dinner or takeaway, as well as breakfast options, juices. , cocktails and food boxes for every day in most places.

Freshii’s first San Diego location was opened in Pacific Beach in June 2018 by franchise partners Chris Allen, Alex Black and Jon Christiansen. The team opened additional Freshii locations near the Spreckels Theater in downtown San Diego and on University Avenue in Hillcrest, but both locations have since closed. The Pacific Beach branch at 1380 Garnet Avenue will close permanently on Friday, January 27th.
