Frank Lloyd Wright’s last home is worth $8.95 million compared to the Guggenheim.

The latest home, designed by respected architect Frank Lloyd Wright, hit the market for $8.95 million and the current owner is hoping to find someone to keep his legacy alive.

Known as the Circular Sun House, this home was built in 1967 in Phoenix, Arizona.

“The house was completely renovated in 1995 by the owner, who at the time was Linda Milton,” Dina Peters, a HomeSmart agent who markets the property, told The Post. “And she really saved the house when she was doing all the renovation work because it was in a terrible state. She made some important structural changes to the house to make it really beautiful. And here we are in 2023, it’s time to take it to the next level.”

“The house would really be perfect for a local celebrity who is a true supporter of the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and all that he stands for to own a property and really take it into the 21st century and use it as a property for special events or Airbnb “Just let people who want to visit Arizona feel what the story of Frank Lloyd Wright really is,” Peters added.

The area of the house is 3095 square feet.

The unique building of over 3,000 square feet consists of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It was originally built with five bedrooms, but Peters explained that there is an office on the roof of the house, a “special library next to the living room” and an office or media room that could be a fourth bedroom.

Items that could be upgraded to match modernity include kitchen appliances, flooring and lighting.

Peters also said that adding a garage somewhere would not detract from the home’s design.

(The architect was notorious for not building his houses with garages, as he considered them places made for clutter.)

“Most of his houses have carports,” Peters said. “People who have a $100,000, $200,000 car won’t want it exposed to the elements. But we don’t want to give up on beautiful home design.”

Every home Wright has designed has a unique fireplace, but this particular home, the fireplace, is an inverted stone piece that Peters called “a replica of the Guggenheim Museum.”

The house is one of 14 round houses designed by Wright from over 1,000 houses he created.

Designed to blend in with the curves of the surrounding desert mountain, the home boasts unobstructed views of Palm Canyon and the city below.

Curved, golden-colored Filipino mahogany walls cover three bedrooms and a hallway, reflecting the natural light of Palm Canyon, the listing notes.

“I would love to see someone buy a house that really sees value. I mean, it’s the Mona Lisa in real estate,” Peters said. You can’t even rate this house.
