Fort Worth Zoo’s Brazos Elephant Makes His Choice in Super Bowl LVII

FORT WORTH, TX (CBSDFW.COM) – The choice is made! Brazos, a 1,610-pound Asian elephant from the Fort Worth Zoo, selected the Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl LVII on Sunday.

In the video, Brazos is confronted by two cardboard football cutouts, one with the Eagles logo and the other with the Kansas City Chiefs logo.

With his coach, mom Bluebonnet, and No. 1 cheerleader Angel, Brazos took to the field and never looked back, the zoo said. Without hesitation, he chose the Eagles football club as his official choice.

The zoo claims that Brazos is their talisman: last year he interrupted a seven-year losing streak.

Animals at the Fort Worth Zoo have been predicting Super Bowl results since 1998. In fact, Brazos’ grandma Rush has the most choices, with a record 10 choices.

The Chiefs and Eagles will face each other in Sunday’s Super Bowl at 5:30 p.m.
