Fort Worth police said they have arrested a minor accused of killing an adult family member.

FORT WORTH, Texas. Fort Worth police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting that took place on Monday afternoon.

The officers were sent to shoot at 4:45 p.m. on January 17 in the 3300 block of Ray’s Simon Drive. It’s near I-35W and East Long Avenue.

When the police arrived there, they found an adult victim and a minor suspect. The man was shot several times and died on the spot.

Fort Worth police said the juvenile and the victim got into an argument that escalated into a fight, after which the juvenile allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the man multiple times.

The two men are related to each other and lived in the house where the shooting took place, officers said. The WFAA confirmed that the suspect was arrested and taken to a juvenile facility.

At the moment there is no other information.
