Florida mother sues school district over OnlyFans disagreement

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – A lawsuit has been filed against Orange County Public Schools alleging that the county prohibited a mother from volunteering in her child’s classroom because of her presence on adult websites.

Victoria Trees, 31, is suing the school district after she was told in 2021 that she could not volunteer because of her involvement with adult-only internet sites, including OnlyFans and the adult access section of Twitter.

Tris, mother of two students attending Sand Lake Elementary School, is represented by NeJame Lowe.

In a press release from legal partners John Zielinski and Mark Nejaim, her lawyers allege that the county denied her volunteer work, which she did for five years.

“Many other parents of children in Orange County schools are also members of OnlyFans, as well as other adult-oriented professions such as topless dancing, adult acting, online sexting, and others. To portray Ms. Trice as the modern day equivalent of The Scarlet Letter, Ms. Trice was left with no choice but to file a lawsuit.

Tris and her lawyers held a press conference on Wednesday, saying the goal of the lawsuit is to make sure this doesn’t happen to either parent.

“The main reason I do this is not for myself. I can only imagine who went through this and couldn’t fight it, and they were told that we don’t know how to deal with it, and how many people will come who will do the same as me,” she said. . “And they’ll be told that one day they’re going to have someone who just doesn’t agree morally with what they’re doing. And they’re going to have someone who’s going to be in the same situation, and I don’t think any mom, any dad, anyone in the position I’m in, has to go through this.”

Lawyers for Tris accused the county of “denying her the right to participate in her children’s lives as she saw fit, choosing to give up her chosen livelihood instead of seeing her children or volunteering, and the ridicule she was subjected to and will suffer because it is prohibited for no reason other than to offend the moral feelings of another person for what it does in private.”

“When I became a mother … (my children) became my whole life, so I obviously wanted to be involved in every part of their world, whether it be at school, at home, in everything,” Tris said in October. Press conference 2021. “So I knew when I had kids that I would be the parent in the room.”

During a press conference on Wednesday, she said she could still volunteer in her youngest child’s class, although she could only do so virtually.

“So I buy all the stuff, I’m brought in or picked up, and I plan any parties they need to donate whatever they need to the class, whatever they need for the parties. I do all this, but I do it all like a robot that sits behind a screen and tries to control everything, ”she said.

Tris also said that she felt isolated from other parents.

“It doesn’t define my whole life. It’s part of my life, but it’s not my life to be a mom or a parent,” she said.

When News 6 contacted Orange County Public Schools, a county spokesman said the county was not commenting on the pending litigation and had not yet received the most recent complaint after the previous one was dismissed by the county court.
