Arlington woman struck by vehicle and killed in Saturday night incident, report

Arlington, Texas – Saturday night vehicle-pedestrian incident was fatal for one Arlington woman, the local authorities confirmed.

According to the incident report, a 32-year-old woman of Arlington was hit and killed by a vehicle in the 400 block of N. Collins Street around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

The investigation has shown that the woman tried to run across N. Collins while she did not have the right of way. The story was also confirmed by witnesses and surveillance video obtained by the investigators.

The driver of the Chrysler 300 that was travelling northbound remained at the scene after the incident and was cooperating with the first responders.

The driver is not going to face any criminal charges in regards to the incident.

In a statement, Arlington Police said, “The department strongly encourages pedestrians to cross roadways at stoplights or other designated crossings, particularly when it’s dark outside, and to obey all traffic signals.”
