Florida mass shooting suspect killed by police

A suspect in a mass shooting in central Florida last month was fatally shot by a police officer after a carjacking and chase. The car was driven by Alex Green, who ended up crashing into a local business.

Investigators from the Lakeland Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement kept an eye on Green and began following them as they drove away.

When Green realized that he could not leave, he got out of the car and ran to the woman who was standing near her car. Authorities say the woman saw Green running towards her and tried to close all the doors.

Green pushed the women out of the way and got into the car. Greene took off in his car, eventually driving through traffic and crashing into a building.

Law enforcement pulled Green from the car and took him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say no one else was hurt in the chase.
