Florida gas prices fluctuate over the past week

The escalation in gasoline prices is currently being steered by refinery complications, marking the swiftest surge in several months, as indicated by data from AAA. Motorists in Midwestern regions are bearing the brunt following the closure of a BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana, two weeks ago due to a power outage. Reuters has disclosed that the shutdown may persist throughout February while undergoing evaluation for any impairments. The constricted gasoline supply over the past week has also played a role in the price fluctuations.

Upon the refinery’s resumption of operations, AAA spokesman Andrew Gross stated earlier this week that any further hikes at the pump are anticipated to revert to a more gradual and lesser seasonal progression.
