Florida congressman Steube had an accident at home

SARASOTA, Florida. — A congressman from Florida was injured in an accident at his home Wednesday afternoon, his office said.

The office of U.S. Representative Greg Steube released a brief statement saying he was involved in an accident on his property and sustained several injuries. The statement did not provide details about the injuries or their severity.

“We will provide additional updates whenever possible,” the statement said. “Please pray for the congressman and his family.”

Steube was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and has just begun his third term. The Republican represents all of Sarasota and Charlotte counties, as well as part of Lee County.
